We do all know about sausages, itz a western food type and mostly u would have had it in the form of fried or roasted what ever u call it. Last Thursday my husband came home bringing two packets of sausages and said he wud do the cooking (coz he doesn't have to go to work on Fridays) and he started cooking, I asked him what he was goin to make with the sausages, nd he told me "Sausage Varutharachathu". Has anyone heard such a name? for me it was the first time!!!!!!
He took the two packs and started cutting, I did ask him whether everything is needed as its for only the two of us, He told me he wishes to do things lavishly. He started cooking (Note: To be frank he has never cooked even at his Bachelors accomodation), goin on adding whatever ingridients he got at hand......(I was there helping him side by side throwing stared looks upon him whenever he adds something odd) and then about half an hour later, the recipe was done...
We sat for dinner, and my husband gave a proud look wen I did serve him his stuff. We started having our food, actually it was a flop still I was forcing it into my mouth, after a while he looked at me and said, "I dint think it wud be such a flop".... After cleaning, while opening the freezer found a pack there, again I stared at him and he smiled shyly.
See people with Iron hearts never give up, so two days later he again took the stored sausages and this time it was "Sausage Vazhattiyathu". He started and as usual I did the side help, nd after a time being he left the work to me and left, after adding in whatever he could add. Minutes later the item was ready. We had it and this time too it was a flop but far better than the other day at least we could have it. Today we were out shopping and when we came across Sausage he told "Dont stop there Im not goin to cook that stuff again"...
I couldnt get a snap of "Sausage Varutharachathu", below is a snap of "Sausage Vazhattiyathu", looks are often deceptive, dont ever try doin it if u need to have it..
